A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

September already! I hope you enjoyed the summer. On my side I had beautiful mandates and I worked to obtain my Lean Six Sigma black belt certification.

I already had a Six Sigma green belt certification, done almost 15 years ago. At the time Six Sigma philosophy and Lean philosophy were two distinct methods and one was either in one camp or the other. Over time, people realized that both philosophies of continuous improvement brought benefits, depending on the problems and applications, and that there was value in knowing both.

So now almost all certifications in continuous improvement include both philosophies which is very good!

Wanting to go further by combining the strengths from both methods, I got the highest certification: a black belt!

What are Lean and Six Sigma? Lean brings tools that eliminate what does not add value, depending on the customer’s point of view. Besides, the customer is always at the center of this philosophy. Lean also helps eliminate waste at all levels.

For its part, Six Sigma eliminates the variation in your processes and stabilizes them by eliminating defects and aiming for a better quality that tends to 3.4 defects per million units.

I can also certify white, yellow and green Six Sigma belts. We are additionally working on developing training courses to implement Lean Six Sigma programs for our customers and be able to certify employees.

With this certification, I now have more strings to my bow, always in order to have more tools to better help my customers.

With these tools, we help reduce high production costs, keep processes stable, reduce errors, and eliminate repetitive problems. We can do statistical analysis to analyze the problems and determine the best actions to take.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you want to know how we can help you with Lean Six Sigma.
